Plant description

Previously called Dryandra sessilis. Parrotbush is a shrub to 5 m tall, growing on limestone. It forms dense, prickly thickets, which provide cover and nest sites for birds. Its flowers, from late autumn to late Spring, are favoured by honeyeaters. The seeds are eaten by ringneck parrots and black cockatoos.
