Plant description

A crooked or spreading tree to 8 m, growing on sandy soils. Honey-eating birds drink the nectar during the long flowering period in autumn and winter. Greyish-green toothed leaves contrast with the flower-spikes which change from silver to pink and orange.Many insects and native bees visit the flowers.
