Plant description

A native of South Africa and a garden escape plant which is now spreading widely in coastal areas. A spring flowering, clump forming perennial with dark green leaves. The flowers are mostly yellow, orange and red. Only sterile varieties (available at nurseries) should be grown in local coastal gardens.
