Kate wins National Landcare award!

We are all really pleased that Kate Sputore won the Innovative Young Landcare Leader Award at the 2014 National Landcare Awards.

Kate was presented with the award at a gala dinner held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre – that’s her on the right above. Kate has been our Coastcare Officer (and for the rest of  the North Metro region!) and is currently on maternity leave. Kate was recognised for her achievements in attracting and encouraging volunteers to Coastcare and in particular her Coastcare for Singles event. This has has been a great success in attracting new  generations to Coastcare. We all know how much we appreciate Kate’s work but its good to know that lots of other people now know!
